Mercy brainstorming produces ideas

The Mercy "charrette" (neighborhood planning meeting), hosted at the Mercy Campus last week, produced a number of different ideas.  The campus is in excellent condition and obviously would be a fantastic facility for another school.   Sadly, no local schools have stepped forward with any interest in the campus though hope remains that an out-of-state school/buyer might still step in.  The facility as it exists today includes a fantastic gym, class rooms, labs, library, cafeteria, convent/apartment space, auditorium and more.  The asking price is $2.7 million, a steal for some 80,000 square feet.  Developers are encouraged to contact Rhonda Karageorge, commercial realtor, at 502.744.9175 or via email at rk@ccre.biz

Barring a school, other ideas suggested include:  a retirement or assisted-living facility, a corporate campus and/or a mixed use residential / office space.
